I’ve just downloaded Bamboo and a simple item list is the main thing that is missing for my application. Ideally selecting the item would populate the text area with a default description but allow it to be overwritten before being stored against the invoice in the current way. There could be a “default” blank item so as not to add new steps for current users but it would really make a powerful difference to be able to categorise sales in this way.

Great system though - and I recgnise simplicity is much of the appeal. Thank you for it.

Thank you for this script. Is the best.
Now. i want same thing like @xlchelli (a list of products or services) but each from this with field for price without TAX.

Ex. I have a lot of land to rent with more options: 50mp rent with 5 euro/mp, 2000mp rent with 3 euro/mp. Now. If i want to made one invoice, click on this and i insert: Quantity i insert 30 and for step 2 i need to choice what service the customer want. I choice for ex. 50mp rent with 5 euro/mp, Taxable and the price automaticaly changed in my rate (lei). But for this i need another button for insert the parity euro/lei for the day when i made the invoice.

I too would like to see a Products List, but again, have a) a blank default, and b) editable descriptions. The other thing that would need to be stored is a default price, again editable.

Derek, a suggestion? Collate all the Feature Requests, and create a poll to see what would be most popular. This will help you to see what the most-requested features are.

I’m with the guys on this one.. I work in three completely different fields, so a product database with the following fields would be useful for me to be able to extrapolate data:)

PRODUCT CODE | PRODUCT DEPARTMENT | DEFAULT DESCRIPTION | DEFAULT PRICE | IS TAXABLE

The ability to add free-flow products would still be handy, but I’d probably set up three departments and have a product called D1, D2, D3 as my free-text fields, each assigned to a different department.

Love the product, and would go so far as to say I’d chip in a few bucks for this feature, because it’s the only thing that is missing in my mind.

I agree. A product list would be helpful. Especially if it can have a “quick search” box that shows and progressivly narrows down all possible matches as you type (not just the starting letters).

A product list is possible. It could be similar to the client’s page where you can add edit and delete products. This would just take a few changes to the client’s model, Controller and view pages. The hard part would be the new invoice view page. Would think you need a dropdown list of products in the database with price as its value. And some java to add new item and onchange=recalculate amount. I have played with this and got the dropdown working but I can’t get the amounts to change. Also can’t get a new item to be a dropdown box. Does anyone have any suggestions?

@Bryce,

I stumbled accross your posting and was wondering if you solved the problem already.
I’m very interested in the feature you are trying to accomplish.

If the problem is still there I would offer my assistance.
Is it possible to supply a demo. Otherwise you can post your source here or send it to me by mail.

Thanks in advance.
